Prune Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. salad oil
    3 whole eggs
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. prunes
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. white corn syrup
    1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
    1 small box vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
    2/3 c. oil (Mazola)
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. brandied fruit (do not use the juice)
    1 c. nuts (pecans)
Preparation
    Combine the cake mix, pie filling, eggs and oil.
    Mix well. The mixture will be stiff.
    Add the brandied fruit and the nuts. Bake in a tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 60 minutes.
    Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 or 25 minutes.
