Unstuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground meat
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 medium heat cabbage
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. white distilled vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Crumble beef into a 4 to 5-quart Dutch oven; add onion and cook over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes.
    Stir often until meat is browned.
    Quarter and core cabbage.
    Cut crosswise in 1-inch wide strips.
    You should have about 8 cups.
    Add to meat mixture, cover and cook over medium heat, about 5 to 7 minutes until cabbage wilts.
    Stir in tomatoes, sugar, vinegar and salt.
    Bring to a boil, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
    Serves 4.
    (Serve over rice or noodles.)
