Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow, white or blue corn meal
2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. cooking oil or shortening, melted
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, beat together eggs, milk and oil or melted shortening.
Add to flour mixture and stir just until batter is smooth (do not overbeat).
Pour into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 8 or 9 servings.
