Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    1 stick oleo
    2 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour, sifted
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix and cool the raisins, oleo and boiling water.
    Add soda, eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour, sugar and salt.
    Add walnuts and vanilla.
    Grease 5 or 6 No. 2 cans or bread pans.
    Fill 1/2 full. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Then at 325\u00b0 for another 30 minutes. Remove pans from oven.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Invert pans to remove.
