Ham Roll-Ups - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. shredded cheese
    1 1/2 lb. fresh asparagus spears or broccoli
    6 (2 to 3 oz.) slices boiled or baked ham
    1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat until bubbly.
    Gradually stir in milk.
    Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil one minute.
    Stir in cheese until melted.
