Poached Salmon (Chinook Tribe)(Modern) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. fresh salmon
    3 medium onions
    3 celery stalks
    3 carrots
    3 bay leaves
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Clean salmon and remove tail and head.
    Chop onions and slice carrots and celery.
    Put fish in a large roasting pan.
    Place half the onions inside of the fish, the remainder goes on top along with the carrots and celery.
    Add bay leaves and salt.
    Add water to cover the fish.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake for 30 minutes.
