Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. diced onion
    3 cloves garlic, diced
    salt to taste
    chili powder to taste
    cumin to taste
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1 c. tomatoes with chilies
    1 head lettuce, coarsely chopped
    2 large firm ripe tomatoes, diced
    1 large pkg. corn chips
Preparation
    Brown beef in small amount of oil.
    Saute onion and garlic until soft, but not brown; add to beef.
    Simmer for several minutes.
    Season with salt, chili powder and cumin.
