Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. shaved chocolate

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, add beaten egg and vanilla.
Add flour and salt.
Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Spread 1 pound shaved chocolate on top and return to oven until melted.
Cut into squares while warm.
