Raisin-Nut Sandwich Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    juice and rind of 1 lemon
    1 c. ground raisins
    1 c. ground nuts
    1 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Add sugar, lemon juice and lemon rind.
    Cook until thick.
    Remove from heat.
    Add raisins and nuts.
    Add pinch of salt.
    Mix well.
    When cool, add 1 cup mayonnaise.
    Mix well. Place in covered container.
    Keep in refrigerator.
    Delicious on brown bread.
