Spice Cupcakes - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Line cupcake tins with paper baking cups.
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
Add shortening and milk.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed of mixer.
Scrape bowl and beaters.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes.
Pour batter into cups, filling each 1/2 full.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool. Dust with powdered sugar or frost with favorite frosting.
