Apple Butter(Mom'S Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    apples (to fill a large kettle)
    sugar
    cinnamon
    cloves
Preparation
    Wash apples; do not peel.
    Cut in fourths and remove seeds. Cook until tender with a small amount of water.
    Run through Foley mill.
    Return to kettle.
    Sweeten to taste.
    Add cinnamon and cloves to taste.
    Cook slowly over low heat, stirring quite often to keep from sticking, until it is cooked to right consistency and color.
    Fill clean, sterilized jars and seal.
    May also freeze, if desired.
