Apricot Oatmeal Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. chopped dried apricots
2/3 c. water
1/2 c. apricot preserves
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. butter flavored Crisco
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. oats (not instant)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine apricots and water in covered pan. Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes. Remove cover and cook until water has all evaporated. Add preserves, sugar and vanilla.
Stir until preserves melt.
Cool to room temperature.
