Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. maple syrup
    3/4 c. raisins
    1 c. grated cheese
    6 slices toasted bread, buttered and cut into 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    Place sugar in heavy saucepan.
    Cook over low heat until it's liquified and golden brown.
    Add water; stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Add syrup and simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
    Layer bread, raisins and half the cheese in 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole dish.
    Pour syrup mixture over bread and top with rest of cheese. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
