Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    3 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. mashed bananas
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or 3 (20 ounce) cans.
    Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly.
    Stir in milk.
    Blend in dry ingredients and stir in.
    Add nuts and bananas.
    Pour into pan and bake 60 to 70 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly before slicing.
