Cherry Cobbler Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 stick butter (at room temperature)
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. freshly ground lemon peel
1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease an 11 x 7-inch pan.
Mix flour and baking powder.
In large bowl, beat butter and confectioners sugar with mixer until fluffy.
Beat in egg and lemon peel.
With mixer on low speed, gradually add flour mixture.
Remove 2/3 dough.
With floured fingers, pat remaining dough over bottom of pan.
Spread pie filling over dough to edges of pan.
Roll reserved dough into 1-inch balls.
Flatten slightly and place evenly on pie filling. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool in pan. Dust with powdered sugar before cutting.
