Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white stone-ground cornmeal
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. corn (preferably cream-style)
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. shortening or bacon drippings
Preparation
    Sift together meal, salt and baking powder.
    In separate bowl, stir together beaten eggs, corn, sour cream and buttermilk. Combine liquid and dry ingredients and stir well.
    Put shortening into an 8-inch iron skillet that you have preheated for a few minutes on top of the stove.
    Spoon batter into skillet.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until done.
    Invert onto a plate and serve.
