Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium turnips, peeled and cubed
    1 c. water
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook turnips in water for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Add the egg, sugar, butter and salt; mix well.
    Transfer to a greased 1-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
