Baklava - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. honey
    2 inch cinnamon stick
    4 lemon slices
    4 orange slices
    1 pkg. prepared phyllo pastry
    2 c. finely chopped walnuts
    1 c. finely chopped almonds
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. sweet butter, melted
Preparation
    Make syrup in medium saucepan.
    Combine sugar and water. Bring to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar.
    Add honey, cinnamon stick, lemon and orange slices.
    Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
    Strain.
    Cool and it should measure approximately 2 1/2 cups.
    Remove pastry leaves from package.
