Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef, cut in small cubes
    1/2 lb. bacon, cut into pieces
    2 large onions
    3 large carrots
    3 cloves of garlic, chopped
    24 small white onions (I use frozen onions)
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sauteed in butter or 1 large can mushrooms
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 c. Burgundy wine
    2 cans beef bouillon
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Filling:
    Peel and cook potatoes until soft; drain off water and mash.
    Add 1 (8 ounce) can sauerkraut or add 1/2 pound cheese to mashed potatoes with 1 teaspoon pepper.
