Cherry-Nut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. cut up walnuts
    1 c. cut up cherries
    1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugars and eggs.
    Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla.
    Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
    This goes into the first mixture.
    Blend in nuts and cherries.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0 and drop rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake about 10 minutes or until delicately browned.
    While warm, frost with Burnt Butter Glaze.
