Penne All'Arrabbiata Or "Weeknight Spicy Pasta" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
    2 tsp. finely minced fresh garlic
    1 tsp. crushed dried red pepper flakes
    1 (28 oz.) can peeled Italian plum tomatoes with juices
    salt
    8 oz. penne pasta
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    Puree tomatoes in a blender or food mill.
    Heat oil in a medium skillet over low heat. Add garlic and red pepper.
    Saute, stirring, until garlic turns golden.
    Do not brown garlic. (This will take just a few minutes.)
    Stir pureed tomatoes into the oil. Simmer stirring until sauce is slightly reduced and thickened, about 20 minutes.
    Season with salt to taste.
