Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed
    1/2 c. melted oleo
    1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    12 oz. grated American cheese
    8 oz. carton sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 small onion, chopped (saute in oleo first)
    2 c. crushed cornflakes, Wheaties or Bran Flakes
    1/2 c. melted oleo
Preparation
    Place thawed potatoes in 9 x 13-inch baking dish; sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Mix together next 6 ingredients; pour over potatoes. Top with crushed cereal and drizzle melted oleo over all. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
