Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. molasses
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients until crumbly; reserve 1/2 cup crumbs. Mix soda, molasses and 1 cup hot water.
    Stir into remaining crumbs.
    Spoon batter into layer cake pan.
    Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Serve warm or cold.
