Sweet Potato Praline Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. cooked sweet potatoes, mashed
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 Tbsp. bourbon (optional)
    1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell, unbaked
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large, heavy saucepan. Add pecans and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter is golden brown and pecans are toasted.
    Remove from heat; stir in next 7 ingredients, mixing well.
    Pour mixture into pastry shell. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set. Cool on wire rack. Top with whipped cream.
