Apple Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2/3 c. vegetable oil
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. dried apples
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix the first 3 ingredients in a bowl.
    In another bowl, mix the sour milk or buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla and salt. Combine these two mixtures alternately with the flour, mixing well after each addition.
    Fold in the apples and pecans.
    Pour into muffin pan (papers) and sprinkle melted butter on top. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
    Yields about 15 muffins.
