Stewed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. tomatoes (fresh or canned)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small chopped onion
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients on low heat until a syrup forms.
    Stir often so it won't stick.
    Serve as a side dish with black-eyed peas, crowder peas, butter beans, etc.
