Sauerkraut And Sausage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut, rinsed
    1 medium apple, peeled and chopped
    1 small onion, chopped or use minced onion
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar or more according to taste
    several shakes coarsely ground pepper
    1/2 pkg. smoked sausage, cut in small chunks
Preparation
    Cook over low to medium heat on top of stove or bake at 350\u00b0 for an hour.
