Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 potatoes, cubed and peeled
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 stick butter
    1/2 to 1 c. milk
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated cheese (Cheddar)
    1 chopped onion (optional)
Preparation
    Boil cubed potatoes until tender; drain.
    Add mushroom soup, butter, milk and onion.
    In casserole dish, pour half of mixture. Top with cheese.
    Pour remaining mixture over cheese.
    Add another layer of cheese.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 until cheese melts.
