Six Week Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. bran or Bran Buds or all-bran cereal
2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter, melted
3 c. sugar or less
4 eggs, beaten
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour boiling water over 2 cups bran. Add shortening and let stand while gathering other ingredients. Mix rest of bran with sugar, eggs and buttermilk in large bowl. Combine flour, soda and salt. Combine all ingredients. Bake as needed at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Mixture will keep 4 to 6 weeks, covered, in refrigerator. Makes 6 dozen muffins.
