Scallop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. scallops
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1 c. cream
    1 oz. dry vermouth
    2 to 3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 stick butter, in 2 even parts
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 the butter; add flour and make smooth paste.
    Add cream and vermouth and cook until sauce is thick.
    Season. Saute mushrooms in 1/2 the butter for 3 minutes.
    Add scallops and cream sauce.
    Put in casserole and top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
