Italian Bread Peanut Butter Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    2 c. heavy cream
    2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
    16 slices Italian bread, cut 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick, crusts removed
    1 c. crunchy peanut butter
    5 whole eggs
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly grease deep 4-quart casserole. In saucepan, scald milk and cream over moderate heat.
    Remove from heat and set aside.
    Lightly butter 1 side of each bread slice. Thickly spread peanut butter.
    Arrange slices in casserole, peanut butter side up, overlapping slightly if necessary.
