Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and beat until fluffy.
    Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and salt. Blend into creamed mixture to make a stiff cookie dough.
    Shape into balls the size of walnuts.
    Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar with the 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
    Roll cookie balls in the cinnamon sugar.
    Place on greased baking sheets.
    Flatten with fork.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until very lightly browned.
