Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. regular vanilla pudding
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks
    1 (1 lb.) can mandarin oranges
    2 medium bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Drain pineapple.
    Mix 1 cup of pineapple juice (add water if less than 1 cup) and vanilla pudding.
    Cook until thick, then cool slightly.
    Pour over pineapple chunks and drained mandarin oranges.
    Add sliced bananas before serving.
    Decorate with maraschino cherries if desired.
