Creamy Fresh Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 ears fresh corn
    3 strips bacon
    2/3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. flour
    1/4 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cut and scrape corn from cob (makes 3 cups).
    Cook bacon slowly until crisp; remove and reserve.
    Stir corn into hot bacon fat.
    Add water, salt and sugar; stir and cook for 5 minutes, uncovered.
    Stir flour into milk; mix until smooth.
    Add to corn and stir constantly until thickened.
    Add pepper and butter. Serve hot; garnish with reserved bacon.
    Yields 6 servings.
