Aunt Lucy'S Old Fashioned Sugared Parsnips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. parsnips
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of ground cinnamon
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/4 c. flour
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Cook parsnips with skins on until tender. Peel them and slice lengthwise.
    Season with salt, pepper and spices.
    Dip fully into butter and then into flour. Be sure to cover each piece.
    Sprinkle with sugar. Fry in butter until a rich golden brown.
