Norwegian Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
4 c. peeled, cored and sliced apples
cinnamon and sugar topping
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Spread in large greased and floured pan.
Top with apple slices.
Sprinkle with mixture of 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1 cup sugar.
Bake at 340\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
