Carrots Amandine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. carrots
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. almonds
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Peel carrots and cut in 1/2-inch slices.
    In a saucepan, place water.
    Add sugar and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add carrots and cook, covered, for 10 minutes or until just tender.
    Drain.
    Keep carrots in a warm dish.
    In a small skillet, saute almonds in butter over medium heat.
    Stir and cook 3 to 4 minutes.
    Pour almond and butter mixture over carrots and mix.
