Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. mashed bananas
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and lemon juice to bananas.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Sift together the dry ingredients. Add with nuts to first mixture, stirring only enough to mix thoroughly.
Pour into well-greased loaf pan (10 x 5 x 3-inch).
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Allow to stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
