Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    4 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks slightly.
    Mix sugar and cornstarch.
    Add to beaten eggs.
    Add milk.
    Mix well.
    Cook in a double boiler until thickened.
    Add vanilla and peanut butter.
    Pour into a baked pie shell.
    Beat egg whites until stiff with cream of tartar.
    Add sugar.
    Put on top of pie.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven until golden brown on top.
