Codfish Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. salt codfish (bone out)
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 celery stalks, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 tsp. hot sauce
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    2 c. milk
    vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
    Soak codfish in water overnight.
    Drain fish, then add more water and boil about 10 minutes.
    Drain fish again and press out the excess water.
