No Bake Date Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    8 oz. dates, cut up
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in a saucepan.
    Add dates to butter, then add sugar.
    Cook for 5 minutes, then add remaining ingredients.
    Put on powdered sugar waxed paper.
    Roll into long loaf.
    Cool.
    Slice thin.
