Ingredients

8 oz. flour (2 heaped c.)
4 oz. shortening (1 c.)
1/2 tsp. salt
cold water (to mix)
Preparation

Rub the fat and flour together using the fingertips until no lumps remain visible.
Add the cold water, a little at a time, until the dough is smooth and firm.
