Beef Ala Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. sliced round steak (lean)
1 small can B&B mushroom bits
2 Tbsp. beef drippings
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 Tbsp. flour
salt and paprika to taste
Preparation

Trim all fat and gristle from steak.
Cut meat into small cubes.
Drain mushrooms, saving broth.
Chop into small pieces. To cook, heat 2 tablespoons butter or drippings in large frying pan.
When hot, add cut up beef.
Cover.
Brown and cook slowly for 15 minutes, turning occasionally.
Add mushrooms to beef and cook 10 minutes longer.
Push mixture to one side of pan; add sour cream, stirring.
Add meat mixture and mix well.
Add salt and paprika to taste.
Cover and simmer slowly for 10 minutes.
Serve on top of toast, torn into bits.
