Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place syrup, sugar and water in heavy saucepan and cook over low
    heat.\tStir
    only
    until
    sugar
    is dissolved.
    Cook until syrup
    mixture
    reaches
    soft ball stage.
    Check this by dropping syrup
    into ice water.
    Beat egg whites on high speed until stiff. Continue beating egg whites and pour off half of syrup
    (soft ball
    stage)
    over egg whites.
    Continue cooking remaining half of\tsyrup
    until
    it
    forms a hard crack.
    Add remaining
    syrup and
    vanilla.
    Beat
    until\tmixture is stiff enough to spoon onto wax paper.
