Ingredients

6 medium Bermuda or mild white onions
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 slightly beaten egg
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Cut onions into slices.
Combine other ingredients, beating together just until all dry ingredients are well moistened.
Coat onion rings well with batter.
Fry a few at a time in deep hot oil at 375\u00b0, turning once with fork.
When onions are golden, drain on paper toweling, then sprinkle with salt.
