Salisbury Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. butter flavored crackers
    1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. sage
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1 c. mushroom stems and pieces
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 3/4 c. water
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    Hot mashed potatoes
Preparation
    In bowl, combine first 6 ingredients.
    Add beef; mix well. Shape into two patties.
    In medium skillet, cook patties 4 - 5 minutes per side.
    Remove to platter and keep warm.
    In same skillet, saute mushrooms in butter.
    Stir in flour; blend well. Add water and bouillon.
    Cook and stir until smooth and thickened. Return patties to gravy and cook uncovered over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Serve with mashed potatoes. 2 servings.
