Lo-Cal Candy Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    4 sq. graham crackers, crumbled
    1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Preparation
    Heat oven to 275\u00b0.
    Line two baking sheets with aluminum foil. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in small mixer bowl until foamy.
    Beat in brown sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.
    Continue beating until stiff and glossy (do not underbeat).
    Fold in crackers and orange peel.
    Drop meringue by tablespoonfuls 1 1/2-inches apart onto baking sheets.
    Bake 10 minutes.
    Turn off oven; leave meringues in oven with door closed at least 8 hours. Remove from oven; finish cooling away from draft.
    (Four dozen confections, less than 50 calories for three.)
