Yankee Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. flour
2 tsp. chicken fat (pan drippings)
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Melt fat and remove from heat.
Add flour; stir until smooth. Return to heat.
Add cold liquid all at once and cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
Cook over direct heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add salt.
