Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large green tomatoes
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. bacon drippings
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes about 1/4-inch thick. Season with salt and pepper. Coat both sides with cornmeal. Heat enough of the bacon drippings to coat the bottom of a saut pan or skillet. Pan-fry the tomatoes until lightly browned on each side.
