Old Fashion Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 2 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients in 4-quart saucepan. Stir in milk. Bring to a bubbly boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Cook without stirring to soft ball stage. Remove from heat; add butter. Do not stir. Cool at room temperature. Beat until fudge thickens and loses some of its gloss. Add pecans and coconut if desired. Quickly spread in lightly greased plate.
